Bowness makes it clear multiple times that he wouldn’t be here if he didn’t think that this team can get to the playoffs. I believe in Bowness’ ability to get them there #CBJ

Devils advocate tweet I can see a scenario where Bowness’ comments should be made in the locker room and not to the media. You don’t want to throw your guys under the bus to the public. Thing is the end of the season was an embarrassment and warranted public ridicule #CBJ

Zach Werenski says he has a lot of respect for #CBJ head coach Rick Bowness but didn’t agree with Bones’ comments last night about the culture of being okay with losing. “I don’t think it’s right to say that we don’t hate to lose and that we don’t care.”

This is where the boys need a leader. Obviously they care. No shit. Show it. Learn from losing. Learn how to rise up from your failures. Boone isn’t leading the team on how to do that and based on these comments, none of these 4 are ready to wear the C. #CBJ

@willielutz_ I think it’s unlikely Bowness goes to another team. Remember he was retired before taking the #CBJ job and said there were only a couple teams that could pull him out of retirement. Would be nice to know who the others were though

I don’t think Bones even grasps how right he is. He just diagnosed the entire organization’s single biggest problem. It’s a problem that’s been with the franchise since October 7, 2000. It comes from the top.

A lot of false fans will be making noise this offseason. Don’t get caught up in it. Changes will come and all we can do is hope that after the dust settles we have Bowness at the helm to give us something even more special next season. #CBJ

That wraps up a disappointing end to the season that never should have been. At the end of 2025 not a single fan had hope. Then Bowness comes in and we all witnessed something special. A #CBJ team like we have never seen before. What a ride it was.
