@Enghumbhini @JordiGriff For some unknown reason, people believe that the DA is desperate to be in coalition with the ANC in Gauteng. Not so. They take note of the metaphor which says that if you sleep with dogs, you are likely to catch fleas.

@mrstatecapture Not just coalition stability. Building relationships and giving the ANC options when it comes to future coalitions. They should take note of the metaphor that if you sleep with dogs, you are likely to catch fleas.

@City_Press This reeks of desperation. The ANC is forced to include the EFF to retain power, but at the same time are trying to clip Dunga's ability to act independently. Dunga will become Lesufi's 'ice-boy'. Lesufi is risking Gauteng in order to ensure he stays in power. What a mess.

@AardvarkBloody The names of companies that were given the tenders to perform the defogging included "bookshop”, “catering”, “travel” and “payroll”. They clearly had no expertise to do chemical cleaning, proving that this was another corrupt ANC scam awarding tenders to ANC aligned companies.

@morrow_nw Its also about political survival for the ANC. They know that inducements like positions and tenders make parties like the EFF & MKP pliable. The national ANC supports this, which may be a sign that the DA should consider leaving the GNU. If you sleep with dogs, you catch fleas.

The only conclusion one can draw is that Lesufi et al want to clean out the Gauteng public purse before they get toppled.
