The comments under this post and many other Shion redesigns shows that there ARE people who actually only buy skins for kiri, juno and mercy because they're conventionally attractive. Anything slightly different is suddenly the worst thing ever.

Friendly reminder that Vendetta’s design had exactly 0 thought put into it and was literally based on what the guy found attractive. Because why bother giving a gladiator scars/any remotely interesting features in a video game where the whole design philosophy was about diversity

I truly feel like OW changing to a F2P method and only relying on income through skins has destroyed the creativity and uniqueness of the game 💔 they were legit praised back in the day for their designs for the gals being different and not the stereotypical pretty girl. Now with the last, wha? 5..? Gals introduced they're almost all skinny pale Asian women. We got luckily one (1) black woman making a whole 2 black women in the game.... we have one new SE Asian Woman who doesn't have any SE Asian features (tho I assume she's supposed to look like she had a ton of plastic surgery done so I'll give a mild pass.........) and then multiple cutesy pale skinned East Asian women, 3 of whom all have the same faces and damn near identical body types too. I hope this is just the angle for this new lazy because the art is truly stunning. But when I first saw the art I did not register this was Overwatch ngl. I thought it was Valorant or even League of Legends...... I'm sorry but none of her design reads as Overwatch. OW has a very- well.. HAD a very unique look to it. You could immediately see art of a character and know that was Overwatch. But now the girls look super generic pretty that could be in any generic hero shooter. They gave up on the PVE mode that would expand the story, the things fan were wanting and happy to pay money for!!! But now it's just "buy skins of the hot Asian women" game 🥲 I still have fun with the game but a lot of the love is gone. Even if you don't care about the skins or same looking characters y'all gotta admit the game feels stagnant. We wanted story, actual lore... But its just Infinite Lore but no lore (meme)... I miss when the game felt alive and like it had passion :( not a money grab
