@Henrik_wes Unlike the Paul-Tyson matchup, whatever the outcome of this one is, it will only get better next time🙂

Hey @Henrik_wes Let's do a one hour live stream of us both building a website. I'll build mine manually in Webflow, and you can use your cute little prompting tool. We'll let the crowd judge the end result and see if you stick by your statement.

@ciguleva Interesting. Could you please share the image, sref, and prompt?

Isn’t an sref code the same as using an image as a style reference in Midjourney? Nooo. Top: I used an image as a style reference Bottom: a sref code Using an sref code gives far more variety in composition, objects, and detail.

If I need to rate the features in Midjourney that affect style and aesthetics, personalization would take first place! So, here's the full rating: #1 personalization #2 using images as a style reference #3 sref codes #4 good prompts #5 moodboards #6 --s parameter (you need to know how to use it properly) #7 all other parameters

When was the last time everyone was so eager to create tools for artists as they are now? The best time to be an artist is now.

@c_valenzuelab Looking forward to a version of Runway that’s built in real time and on-demand based on my needs! Before that it’ll be nice to have a version that is not built in real time and not on-demand but has learned to interpret my words in the way I want it to, after some trial & error.

Prompting alone is a stopgap measure for most visual forms of expression with AI (video, images, 3d, etc.). Using only language has proven to be the most effective way for fast experimentation and research. It is the best current workaround, not the optimal choice. But text-to-X serves a purpose for a short time. Don't forget that. Soon, better and more expressive control primitives will be combined with natural language to make something really magical.

@Anderjen @altcap @Anderjen Right, there’s no therapy yet to lower Lp(a) but one can aggressively reduce other risk factors (such as cholesterol) if Lp(a) is abnormally high.

@atingmp @altcap Agree. I had that tested and it was covered by insurance vs. the CT Angiogram was not. It was good info to have but not actionable...yet (though there are some trials underway)

Calcium CT post got over 500k views yesterday and led to a key question / follow up: What about a CT Angiogram instead of / in addt to the Calcium CT? Isn’t it more accurate? And isn’t it true that some % of people who have cardiac events have a Calcium Score of zero. A CT Angiogram (CTA) is a similar procedure to the Calcium CT - but where they inject contrast dye through an IV into your arm before the CT - which allows for a much better look inside the artery and more accurate view as to where the actual plaque, if any, resides. The radiation exposure is generally 5 to 20 mSv vs 1 to 3 mSv for the Calcium CT. So why not just do this instead of the Calcium CT? Don’t think there is a right answer here - just in practice the challenge is that it tends to cost a couple thousand $$, needs a referral which you can demand but can be a pain, and has more radiation exposure - all deterrents to this being a widely adopted first stop on the heart train. But, if your Calcium CT is non-zero OR if you have family history of heart disease OR if you just want want the added info, the CT Angiogram makes sense. I got both. It was the non-zero read on my Calcium CT that caused me to do the CTA as the logical next step. The CTA obviously provides info on the presence and location of any plaque build up / blockage which the Calcium CT test does not. And yes, it is true in several observed studies that some % of cardiovascular disease events occur in people with a CAC of zero. Yet another potential reason to get the CT Angiogram. Both of these tests are vastly better diagnostic tools than just tracking cholesterol to measure heart health. Public policy would benefit dramatically with a shift in the standard of care. Remember, I am not a cardiologist - but have been an analyst for a long time and fortunate to have access to incredible cardiologists / resources - just reporting my learnings as I see them / apply them for me, my family & friends.

Coronary Calcium CT Scans - not cholesterol tests - should be standard operating procedure for adults over 45. I have tweeted about it extensively and discussed on the @theallinpod E136. Since then I’ve heard incredible stories from 100s of people how this impacted their lives. $100 and 30 mins is all it takes! Now sharing this text w permission from one of my childhood besties on how it impacted him - this one hit close to home: “Good Morning Fellas, I wanted to give you all an update on my recent medical issues. I had a Cardiac Calcium Score test performed a few months ago and it was off the charts at 460 and triggered an appointment with a cardiologist. I then had a nuclear stress test and echocardiogram, which turned out mostly normal, except for a small area where they thought I might have some blockage. Fortunately, we decided to do a CT angiogram and it revealed that I had two vessels that were 75% blocked. On December 29th, I went in for a heart catheter procedure. Once they were able to evaluate the vessels, I had one artery that was 75% blocked and the other was 90% blocked. I ended up with several heart stents to fix these issues. Everyone kept asking if I had shortness of breath or chest pain. The answer was always NO, because I NEVER had any symptoms. I probably would have had a heart attack or worse within several months if this had gone unchecked. Having the cardiac calcium score test most likely saved my life. Like Gersh says - I urge everyone to have one done immediately. My doctor never recommended doing a Cardiac Calcium Score - they just kept pushing cholesterol medicine to prevent heart issues. I believe that the Medical community should routinely recommend this test, just as they would a colonoscopy or a mammogram for screening purposes. Hospitals in my area charge $50 at the time of service. I scheduled my own appointment and you don't need a doctor's referral. I recommend you pass this information on to all of your family and friends so they have the opportunity to have this test done. It could save another life.”
