Curation is mostly subtraction. The value in a feed is not the papers it shows you. It is the hundreds it correctly decided not to. Anyone can add. Knowing what to leave out, and why, is the whole job.

A bone-building peptide was designed on a computer, then held up in aged mice and in pigs. Molecule design used to take years. As that gets easier, the hard part moves to understanding what the molecule does in a body. A good feed catches both halves. atomicresearch.co/news/designing…

Google Scholar alerts, PubMed, RSS. They all assume you have time to go fishing. They hand you 200 results and call it help. The labor of filtering still lands on you. That part should belong to the machine, not the scientist.

Most researchers do not fall behind because they stopped caring. The math stopped working. A subfield can publish more in a month than anyone reads in a year. The usual advice is to make peace with it. We think that advice is wrong. Staying current should not be a second job.
