@Sid_Seixeiro Those people who are claiming to be Leafs fans, wearing Marner Vegas jerseys are not Leafs fans. They're Marner fans. If you're a fan of a team, you cheer for the front of the jersey. If you're a fan of just a player, then you're only cheering for the name on the back.

There were Leafs fans there last night who wore Marner Vegas jerseys and cheered against their own team. There were fans, while wearing Leafs jerseys, who held signs in warmup that said “you’re still my favourite player”. It’s bizarre behaviour. I’ll never understand it.

@Sid_Seixeiro Marners gone, so are the Leafs from the top of the standings, maybe Marner wasn't the problem? Ppl are allowed to have a favourite player and over the last 20 years or so it has become more common to cheer for a player vice a team.
