@MissJilianne This happened last August it seems.. Only way to test fairly would be on the same code as they were at the time. With same vehicle and same time of day. Not saying they were not at fault but in most accidents there is a chain of events that happen to cause it.

As someone who has demonstrated FSD for several years LIVE, here on 𝕏, we know different vehicles perform differently. JC is in a Model 3 and the crash was in a Cybertruck. Even the same vehicle can perform differently at the same location due to different variables.

I went to the exact same location of the Cybertruck accident shown in the Fox News video. This is the US-69/59 Eastex Freeway northbound HOV lane at the Y-split near the Eastex Park & Ride exit (approaching from downtown Houston toward Humble). In the Fox News video, the vehicle failed to follow the right curve, going straight into the barrier. Well, I tested it twice today with Tesla FSD engaged the entire time with zero human intervention. And unless you think I am a hologram speaking to you from another dimension now, it worked out really well. Here is the video of me taking the exact same curve twice, with Tesla FSD v14.2.2.5.

@MrOrange2222 @MissJilianne I dont think anyone knows what speed profile they were on. Well im sure Tesla does. I havent seen that mentioned anywhere. Really all the data needs to be out there to duplicate it fairly.

@MissJilianne Human didn't need to take over. As people have demonstrated FSD was doing fine. It would have slowed down and taken the turn at about 20mph if the human didn't disengage it.

They’ll tell you Autopilot is perfect until there’s a crash. Then they’ll blame the human for not taking over soon enough because Autopilot was going to crash the vehicle.

My beloved mobile charger that came with my Cybertruck doesn’t seem to be working anymore. It flashes a little bit of red when you first plug it in, then it goes away. When you try to charge a Tesla it gives an error “charging equipment not recognized.” This happens with multiple Teslas and it happens with both the 14-50 and 5-15 adapters. Tesla Wall Connector charges just fine so it seems to be the mobile connector itself specifically. Is there a reset switch on this thing somewhere? Or I likely need to get a replacement? At almost two years old am I covered for a replacement or do I need to buy a new one? Help @grok

@niccruzpatane Does the CT have the speed profiles where you cant set max speed? If so what mode where they in before disengagement? We all know the speed profiles like to go well over the speed limit. Wondering if CT was speeding. They tap brakes instinctively and dont notice fsd off.

@AndyZeGerman Been quite awhile this happened but more than one time I have intentionally disengaged ap or fsd but it kept tacc on. All while I thought I shut everything off. I think I pulled up once on stalk. Noticed when car didnt slow down. User error for sure on me but easy to do.

I will get a ton of blowback for what I am about to say, but here goes. I have let people use FSD on all of my Teslas since I first got it. Over all the years I have seen the same issue over and over again. When they are unfamiliar, they did not notice when it disengaged. The sound of disengagement is not very loud and can easily be missed, when inexperienced. I am not saying that Tesla was at fault, but it would be nice to have a default setting and clear voice and visual announcement, that FSD has been disengaged. Have said so in my live streams as well. Then there could be an advanced setting where you turn that "off" to basically what it is right now. It can be missed for beginners, as some touch the wheel or tap the brakes, not knowing that they actually disengaged. Again, I said what I said, but if you disagree, I ask you to let some none Tesla drivers drive your car.

UPDATE: Elon Musk says the driver of this Cybertruck disengaged Autopilot four seconds before crashing, which means the driver was manually driving during this entire clip that Fox shared. Elon: "As anyone knows who uses it, that video is not how Autopilot drives."

Heading west on Hwy 82 out of Tuscaloosa FAD on the HW4 Model Y is consistently displaying the wrong speed limit (it's 65 here) but driving like it knows the correct limit. FSD hurry mode. 🤷‍♂️

More training on AI today at work. Copilot, Gemini, Claude, Chat etc. Again, not one mention today of Grok - the entire discussion. Why? Is it a sleeper? Will Grok come into the corporate world one day and people will be blown away? I just think it’s wild there’s no mention - second full training session too (last one was in January). Same as the first one. Why???
