Remember when Odegaard would cut inside and score from the Ø-zone for fun, why did he stop shooting? 🥹

Let me do a little football argument today, Mr Bayo: You are free to love Ronaldo, but you cannot make an argument that he is greater than Messi. What metrics do you want to measure with? Messi beats Ronaldo across the board. But let’s flip their records. Would Messi still be greater than Cristiano Ronaldo if: Messi had 35 trophies, while Ronaldo had 46, the highest in the world? Messi had five Ballon d’Ors, while Ronaldo had eight? Messi had 8 domestic titles, while Ronaldo had 13+? Messi had just the Euros and two Nations Leagues, while Ronaldo had a World Cup, two Copas, one Olympic medal, and one Finalissima? Messi had 2 FIFA The Best awards, while Ronaldo had 3? Messi had 4 Golden Shoes, while Ronaldo had 6? Messi had 0 World Cup Golden Balls, while Ronaldo had 2? Messi had 0 World Cup Golden Boots, while Ronaldo had 1? Messi had 960+ goals, while Ronaldo had 900+, but also the most assists, dribbles, and chances created, while playing two fewer years than him? Messi had 5 Champions League titles, while Ronaldo had 4? Messi had 0 Laureus Sports Awards, while Ronaldo had 1, the only footballer to win it? I could go on and on. But even in that scenario, Ronaldo fans would still not concede that Messi is better. But that is the reality we have here. The whole of football knows Messi is both better and greater. Ronaldo’s teammates attest to this. Messi’s teammates attest to this. Top coaches in the world attest to it: Pep Guardiola Jürgen Klopp Arsène Wenger José Mourinho Etc. Legends of football attest to it, and their careers attest to it. Messi is 39, and he is still playing with the highest creative and playmaking responsibility on the pitch. Ronaldo shifted from the wings to the box as early as 2015–2018. Now they are both at the twilight of their careers, and we see one still actively dictating play, while the other has become a shadow of his former self. Messi is better and greater than Ronaldo in all regards.
Mr Bayo@mrbayoa1

Messi is a great player but never greater than Ronaldo in any world. The only problem with Ronaldo is that he’s the best and never hides his feelings, value himself as a superstar that he is and doesn’t form those humble gimmicks. His superstar Aura annoy his enemy even more.

You’re talking about Thierry Henry like he’s some Darren Bent “He was never the main man” yet he won the Premier League Golden Boot three seasons in a row. Before Arsenal ended the 22 year title drought, Henry gave us the bragging rights we lived off for two decades. “Less important matches” the same Henry who silenced Madrid at the Bernabéu, destroyed Inter at the San Siro, and routinely turned up against United, Liverpool and Chelsea. There’s no trophy in world football he didn’t win. In seven years at Arsenal he won league titles, completed a domestic double, and led the Invincibles. World Cup winner. European Championship winner. Most of these takes are genuinely hilarious
Buchi Laba@Buchi_Laba

Thierry Henry has always been a Cristiano Ronaldo hater. Most Ex Footballers are. Sad Bald man that was never the main man for France. Always scoring in less important matches and hides when it matters for both country and club. Did he even score in any finals he played or Lead a project when he was the main Man?. The Main Leader?. Nonsense! He hated on Mikel Arteta for years but Later found out that the team and management were behind him so he faked liking him. Nonsense!! His mates are busy becoming managers and putting their knowledge where it maters but he sits behind the Television to criticize! No wonder he failed as a manager and will keep failing because he’s filled with hate. Nonsense!!! The Full Portuguese team played like amateurs. Played like clowns but they’re all picking up on Ronaldo. I expect fans that are emotional to but not ex footballers that played and understand the game. Nonsense!!!!

I have never heard of a country invading a neighbor and then calling it unfair that their soldiers died in that invasion. I don’t think any other country ever even thought to make that complaint. On top of that, Israel now wants to retaliate for its soldiers being killed while invading their neighbor. This is pure madness. Just leave Lebanon.
Mark R. Levin@marklevinshow

Hezbollah launched an attack tonight in which 4 Israeli soldiers were essentially incinerated.  I assume Israel will hit back very hard.  No MOU or final agreement will change who these terrorists are.

What fascinates me more than the hat-trick is one question I’d love to ask Messi: How did you make them love you this much? Messi has reached a level with his teammates that even Maradona never truly achieved throughout his career. The man in front of you is the same player who, after Argentina reached the 2014 World Cup final, had Mascherano walk up to him and say: “I’m tired of seeing you suffer. Today, we’re playing only for your happiness.” When the media criticized Messi, Agüero said they used to ask themselves just one question: “How can we get the ball to him in the best possible position to prove he’s the best?” Then came Copa América 2021, when Di María said: “I was ready to break my leg if it meant Messi could win an international trophy.” Less than a year later, the level of devotion had somehow gone even higher. De Paul said: “I could go to war for him without even knowing the reason.” Emiliano Martínez went even further: “I’d be willing to die for Messi on the pitch.” Now we’ve reached 2026. Do you think anything has changed? If anything, it’s become even stronger. Álvarez and Lautaro received chances they could have finished themselves, yet they waited for Messi and squared the ball to him so he could complete his hat-trick. This Argentina team moves as one, beats as one, and rallies behind one name: Messi. 🐐🇦🇷

I know it’s agenda but this point that Messi’s achievements with Argentina somehow aren’t significant because Argentina had won trophies before him is the single most pathetic banter point in history.
zaheer 🇵🇹@cruelpluto

there’s nothing he has won for argentina that they never won. on the other hand , portugal had nothing, ronaldo came, won them the euro 16, the 2019 nations league, the 2025 nation league, i know who my goat is.

Dear Lagosians, I have directed an immediate scale-up of waste evacuation across Lagos following the recent build-up of refuse in some parts of our state. LAWMA, LASEPA, and the Ministry of Environment are currently working around the clock. We have deployed extra trucks and personnel to clear the backlogs across all affected neighbourhoods. You should already see progress on the streets and we will not stop until our city is completely clean again. Lagos generates over 13,000 tons of waste every single day. Managing this requires a massive effort but our determination to fix the current challenge is absolute. As we continue this cleanup, I ask for your partnership. Please bag your waste properly and avoid dumping refuse in drainage channels or on the roads. We are fully on top of this situation. Let us work together to keep Lagos clean and safe for everyone.
