It’s the unrealized expectations to blame - and blame falls on both sides. ZK isn’t perfect, he has made plenty of mistakes/misses. Replacing a GM isn’t as easy as you think though. Ja has checked out but keeps saying the “right thing” and reeling folks back in. What on the court makes you think he wants to stay? Dude. Doesn’t. Play. If he did, our fanbase wouldn’t be in the mental blender it is 😂 A culture reset is needed and given ZK’s draft history combined with this draft - we will come out better with him drafting.

@NBAMyke half good half bad. the rebuild has potential, edey and coward will be threatening if theyre developed right. we got a slew of draft picks we can use. however, i'm not forgetting that zk fired jenkins and broke up the 22 squad prematurely. time will tell where we end up

just wanna make a quick safe space thread. how is everyone feeling about the team? i’ve rode so hard for this team since my childhood but what pera, wexler, and kleiman are doing is beyond anything we’ve seen. we’ve had “bad teams” but never seen nasty work like this from the top on down. i feel like they’re intentionally trying to self sabotage and alienate the fanbase to fuel excuses to move the team. i genuinely do not feel like i can support what is happening, but i also don’t want to give into what could be the bigger picture. how are you feeling as a fan? try to be specific too.

@JWinters489 This. The grit and grind era was so crucial to the team because it put on the court what had already existed in the city's culture.

This is why I said this offseason is important for the Memphis Grizzlies. You gotta create an identity, try to get a 3-4 pick, bring in players that fit the culture of the city and not the suburbs. Get the fans back into the building.
