Former Delta Force A Squadron Heavy Breacher Kevin Tretter. 20 years in the U.S. Army, most of it spent at the tip of the spear. Tretter started his career as a Combat Engineer (12 Bravo), then earned his Green Beret as an 18 Charlie Engineer Sergeant in 3rd Special Forces Group before being selected to serve as a Heavy Breacher in 1st SFOD-D Delta Force. Heavy Breachers are the men who get the team inside, using explosives, mechanical tools, and thermal or ballistic techniques to blow, cut, or punch through doors, walls, and vault entries in the most dangerous buildings on earth. After his time in the Unit, he returned to Special Forces with the Commander's in Extremis Force (CIF), the counter terrorism arm of the Green Berets, where he survived a helicopter crash in Iraq.
