It was bloody freezing today, is that down to climate change as well..

@clairec74 @IrishTimes Yup - they scrapped it because enough progress was made reducing CO2 as to make it not a possibility.

Ireland’s record high temperatures in May ‘not possible’ without human-caused global warming, scientists find irishtimes.com/environment/cl…
English

@richieoshea @IrishTimes Good grief you don’t even know how the ice age ended 🤦♀️🙄🤣🤣
English

@IrishTimes 'Scientists find'
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I wonder how the planet came out of an ice age without human industrialisation to 'change the climate'
Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth.
Climate propaganda never off the table for you lot.
4th of June and its 10c 😂😂
English

@brummer_brumm @IrishTimes OK - you need to start studying right away so as to gain the knowledge to understand the proof.
English

@IrishTimes I want to see solid independent proof for this ... whatever this is supposed to be.

@aretheymyfeet @IrishTimes To think there's plenty of people imbecilic enough to actually believe they have a better grasp on this stuff than those who dedicate their lives to it.
English

@IrishTimes To think there's plenty of people imbecilic enough to actually believe this bollocks 😂
English

@Hairy_Lurcher @IrishTimes Who said *that* warm bit was due to humans?
English

@IrishTimes Ice core samples show temperatures warmer in very recent human history. How did humans manage to warm the planet back then? 🤔
English

@leopoldbarnacle @rtenews Actually no that’s not the difference between the two

Met Éireann's climate statement says seven of the top ten warmest springs in Ireland since 1900 have been since 2001

English

@JohnHolmesbilly @leopoldbarnacle @rtenews So what you are saying is it’s not us that’s creating the observed warming, and therefore we’re *definitely* fucked. Anyway looking forward to your scientific paper showing where climatologists got it wrong when they said we *could* affect climate.
English

@d3301rl @leopoldbarnacle @rtenews And ? So? Humans cannot affect in any way possible the climate or weather so you bollocks is moot

Ireland experiences third hottest spring on record, says Met Éireann irishtimes.com/environment/20…
English

@leopoldbarnacle @rtenews Are you saying you don't understand the difference between weather and climate?
English

@rtenews You say that like it's a bad thing? Anyway, remember last week when we had about 3 days of lovely weather and the climate change lunatics turned into a bunch of alarmist Chicken Littles? Where are they now that the weather is chilly again?
English

@Gobshight @rtenews None. The coldest spring on record was 1979. Spring temperatures have risen about 0.8c since.
English

@rtenews Pure #gobshight stuff. How many of the coldest springs on record have occured since 1980?
English

@msparky15 @thejournal_ie Actually meteorological summer didn’t start until June. Nice try.
English

“Exceptionally high temperatures” towards the end of May saw the record high for the month broken by over 2C.
Seven other stations are awaiting verification and are believed to have broken this record even further, with temperatures as high as 30.9C.

@fornow12341 @rtenews also retired the most optimistic scenario due to the progress not being fast enough, so there’s that. Overall an optimistic outcome, I’d say. 2/2
English

@fornow12341 @rtenews Well I was right. I suspected the reason you only provided a screenshot and not a link was because you didn’t want us to read the article because you were trying to deceive, and I was right. That scenario was retired is because of progress made tackling CO2 emissions. They 1/

@PopeSeneca @Conor_Maher @rtenews I wasn’t referring to past food production - I was referring to future production in a warmer world 🤦♀️

This study has shown that cold related deaths account for over 90% of all temperature related deaths from 2000-2019.
Sounds like a good thing the planet is getting slightly warmer.
