not all abuse victims react the same. toji internalised everything said to him, believed he was disposable & became self destructive. he drinks, gambles, sells himself as a weapon, & dies chasing validation from a system he never truly escaped. his character is not about revenge

It's honestly insane that Toji could have leveled that abusive clan to the ground years ago but was more interested in killing little girls and 16 year old boys.

I shot all their scenes together at 36 frames per second so I could slow down certain moments/Gestures (wedding dress moth flutter float) or speed them (her face trembling in glove scene) and you can feel that effect leaning on every emotional beat…
