Since Arabs are finished, and now that Iran is going to be finished, next is probably Turkey. Now what will the West and Israel use against Turkey? Because unlike Iran, Turkey does not have mandatory hijab. By Western standards, Turkey is a 'relatively normal Muslim country'.

@mojorisn75 @HayastanPapist Ahh I thought that you were claiming the population of the Levant was white Europeans. There were white Europeans living there because it was ruled by Greeks or Romans. But the actual population of the Levant were not white Europeans.

@dr_omeragic @HayastanPapist The claim was that there are “no White people in the Bible” which is blatantly untrue because as I mentioned it was ruled by Europeans during the events of the New Testament, and long before. Also, modern Levantines match ancient Levantines genetically because neither are Arabs.

@Cryptoshi907 @abjectbaby They are the same race and same culture as Iranians. They are Iranic, Persian speaking. Many Afghans are Tajiks which is basically ethnic Persians. Many medieval Persian scholars and poets celebrated by Iranians like Rumi, Balkhi and Biruni were from present day Afghanistan too.

Gamaan - which claims 40% of Iranians are Muslim, and 32% Shiite - isn't serious. Conducted through Western apps like Instagram, WhatsApp, and VPNs, it over-samples urban, young, educated, and Westernized Iranians. Absurdly, 97.5% of the sample in one of its polls was urban.

@History__Speaks Maybe the majority of Iranians in Iran are anti IR for economic reasons and not for hate towards Islam itself. Maybe the majority also hate Islam itself. I’m not sure. There’s also many Iranians in the diaspora that hate Islam and Gamaan says only 32% of Iranians are Shia Muslim.

It seems her name is just Hamideh Afshar. Soleimani is not included in her name on Instagram. If Qasem Soleimani is really her uncle, her mother could be an ethnic Lur married to an Oghuz Turk (Azeri or Turkmen).

Monarchists: 'Iran is done with Islam.' University of Maryland poll of Iranians, Oct 2025: 74.1% say women should wear hijab. (30.3% of Iranians say they should be confronted if they don't, while 43.8% seem to think women ideally should wear it but should have the freedom not to do so without being confronted.) Preference falsification is a possibility when it comes to polls in authoritarian regimes. But I think it's unlikely to be as extreme on this issue then, say, a question like 'do you support the Islamic Republic,' because mandatory hijab laws are not consistently enforced since of 2022, thanks to the activism of the Women-Life-Freedom protesters. In any case, only a 30% minority indicate they favor mandatory hijab, which itself is likely inflated by preference falsification. But the overwhelming majority think women 'should' wear it (even if most of them think women should have the choice free of state or private coercion), implying an Islamic identification.

Until recently, Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter were green card holders living lavishly in the United States. Afshar is the niece of deceased Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani. She is also an outspoken supporter of the Iranian regime who celebrated attacks on Americans and referred to our country as the "Great Satan." This week, I terminated both Afshar and her daughter's legal status and they are now in ICE custody, pending removal from the United States. The Trump Administration will not allow our country to become a home for foreign nationals who support anti-American terrorist regimes.

Saudi before 2017 was more harsh than Iran on such matters, but Saudis tolerated it because the economy was good. Iran has potential to be as rich or even richer than them. Iran has oil, gas, big industrial base

@efgambit @PJ11819211 Getting politically closer to the West and joining NATO after WW2. Suppressing Islam after the 1980 coup for western acceptance. Also neoliberal mass privatizations which destroyed the strong state economy that Ataturk built and caused high inflation and lira value loss.
