@EORumm @duneaant @TheJarbi3 barrat hadisna bas ele se3a im trying to sell a guitar w every time i get a notification i hope it's a potential buyer and every time it's you guys arguing💔
English

@EORumm @Wotwat_ @TheJarbi3 i didn't say its the SOLE reason i said it played a major role in the spread of christianity and denying it is unfactual and historically untrue
English

@duneaant @Wotwat_ @TheJarbi3 Yeah in some circumstances it happened but to say it's the sole reason for Christianity's spread is ridiculous, specially because you decided to ignore the beginnings of Christianity and hyperfocus on this for some reason.
I don't get where you want to get at.
English

@EORumm @Wotwat_ @TheJarbi3 i never said christianity itself is a colonial military power i said it spread through colonialism and war and conquest through military and state powers who adopted the religion
English

@duneaant @Wotwat_ @TheJarbi3 The Roman Empire adopting Christianity does not equate to Christianity becoming a colonial military power somehow.
Those two are very different things and must be differentiated. You can pretend they're the same, but that's just an illiterate take.
English

@TheJarbi3 @Wotwat_ oh my lord it was a slight misunderstanding. i WAS talking about christianity i just thought you meant "this isn't what christianity teaches" when you said "that isn't christianity" which is why I said "maybe it isn't" when i meant "maybe it isn't what christianity teaches"
English

@Wotwat_ @TheJarbi3 but then it became christian meaning christianity stopped being a small persecuted movement and became directly tied to state and colonial military power
English

@duneaant @TheJarbi3 roman colonialism happened centuries before it became christian so that's completely irrelevant to the point😭
English

@TheJarbi3 @Wotwat_ pick up a fucking history book this is factually untrue 😭😭😭
English

@TheJarbi3 @Wotwat_ im not saying it is (even though i can separately argue that there is evidence that biblical scripture commands violence) but im saying without conquest or war or colonialism religion in general would be negligiblly existent today..
English

@duneaant im a theologian im objectively way more knowledgeable on the matter than anyone here🤣 and no im not indoctrinated i was a hardcore atheist my whole life until last year by the end of my studies where i chose orthodoxy, youre arguing with the wrong person for these tricks
English

@Wotwat_ "clearly arguing about something you don't know anything about" i promise you i grew up more catholic than you'll ever be i KNOW the bible😭 these are just some lukewarm spiritual arguments to defend a deeply fucked up and corrupt religious doctrine that yall refuse to see thru
English

@duneaant youre clearly arguing about something you dont know anything about as in christianity we're allowed and encouraged to question everything lmao the apostles doubted while having Jesus in their face the whole time why wouldnt i? there's nothing hypocritical at all lol
