⛔️ DON’T take investor meetings before you do everything on this list: - Warm up your intro network - Learn how to create FOMO - Shape your founder story - Craft your vision story - Nail your pitch deck - Book 50+ meetings - Test, test, test By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail. ONE EXCEPTION... At the bottom of this list, it says “test, test, test”. While you can (and should) test your assets with friends, colleagues and strangers - nothing beats the real thing. You need to test your deck and pitch with investors. So, I suggest having a few investor meetings during prep. Choose investors that you don’t mind losing. The expendables. And after your call, hound them for valuable feedback (phone works best for this). My favorite Q: “What’s your gut feeling about this deal? What doesn’t feel right?” If you do this, you’ll be ahead of 90% of your competition. --- Like this?
