This thought refuses to leave me: what if the old Bollywood elite—Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir, Salman, the Kapoors—had been consistently vocal, politically, especially against the creeping majoritarianism? Would Hindi cinema look the way it does today? Why couldn’t they follow their peers in the US? This rightward shift, exemplified by Dhurandhar and Aditya Dhar (mediocre, if you ask me), didn’t happen overnight. It moved gradually, and largely unchallenged. And it was the silence of the elites, I believe, that provided the much-needed oxygen.

A coworker died yesterday morning😭. ​HR knew by 9 :00 AM, but they kept us working all day. They finally told us around 4 :30 PM, then had the nerve to say, "You can head home early if you need to"—knowing we all finish at 5: 00 PM anyway. ​This morning, it’s back to "business as usual." Some of my friends are literally sobbing at their desks, but they’re expected to work and be productive. No time to grieve. ​It’s a cold reality. Within a week, the company will have his job posted online. Within a month, someone else will be sitting in his chair. ​But his family ,his children will still talk about him every day,they will ask where is daddy , His wife will mourn him for ages ,he was the love of her life . ​At work, we are just a "resource" that can be replaced in a week. At home, we are the world. Stop giving your best energy to a desk that will forget you, and giving the "leftovers" to the people who never will.

Soon someone will die due to rabies because they saw a dog on the street! Come on! Animal caregivers and feeders get scratched on a daily basis. I’m sure there has to be a different source of contraction, and I can suggest one: street food made in unhygienic conditions. Many times I have seen rats around there, and rats are carriers of rabies. So you might want to get out of this infatuation with dogs and look for the real cause, because what you are reporting is simply absurd to believe. By that logic, all the dog lovers/caregivers/feeders must be dead in 6 months, right?

I am certain you haven’t watched this movie or likely any meaningful film in your life otherwise, you would know it wasn't about Kashmir. It follows a group of tourists traveling from an undisclosed location in North Bengal to Siliguri. When a communal flare-up erupts and a mob attacks their stranded bus, a Jewish tourist exposes an elderly Muslim couple to the crowd. ​The heart of the story, however, is how an orthodox Tamil Brahmin woman saves a Muslim man during such a volatile time. It explores how individuals can value humanity above petty religious brutality. Perhaps people like you will never understand that, certainly not in the current climate.
