Always amazed at how often I'll get an OSS library bug report, and have it turn out that they're using a 5+ year-old library version. How does "try updating to current" not feature in folks' "fix it" list *ahead of* "log a bug with the library"?

@MrKrashan @Donzanoid There are no exceptions in traditional sense, but errors that you "throw". Just like in Rust you either have to propagate them to the caller (with ?) or evaluate them (with match). In Swift you propagate errors with "try" prefix. ``` // Not like C#/Java try doSomething() ```

@firstdrafthell @Donzanoid Ahh, so the only seamless error propagation is using exceptions. I was hoping for Rust-like "?" operator, because I really hate golang 'if (err != null)" every second line, combined with "we put braces on separate lines" and "no early returns, one exit point per subroutine", lol

Meanwhile in Swift: Exceptions cost nothing performance wise 🙂

@MrKrashan @Donzanoid Result is Result<T,E> union as in Rust. Use switch, "if let" or "guard let" to check result.

@JezCorden I have a PC that can be used for gaming, but I can't bother with everything surrounding it. I know that games I buy will play well on my PS5 or Xbox.

If you're an Xbox or PlayStation console gamer who can at least theoretically afford a gaming PC but DOESN'T want to game on PC, what are your reasons for sticking with console? I'd love to hear from you. 👇
