We believe that reorganizing @Tesla's vehicle software deployment would greatly benefit owners worldwide. Let’s discuss this. Many owners have misconceptions about the Standard and Advanced toggle in the Software tab in-vehicle, due to its unclear inclusion in each wave. Early Access Program participation has been largely ignored since its launch over a year ago. Vehicles on older non-production branch software releases aren’t always prioritized, causing stagnation and exclusion from newer features and security fixes. Tesla’s vehicle software is deployed on safety-critical products, so there’s always been an expectation of careful, closely monitored deployments. However, in conversations we’ve now had with 1,000+ owners this year, the resounding majority expressed an interest in cutting-edge access, even if that means requiring special care and attention. As a software monitoring platform and an active account deeply engaged with the worldwide Tesla community, we observe these shared sentiments every day and want your voices to be heard. We’ve built tools this year to communicate better and visualize upgrade paths between software updates, which 300,000+ vehicle owners have already used. We’ll continue to improve these experiences as best we can (including collaborating with other third-party platforms). We’d love to know your thoughts on this and whether you’d like an option to access cutting-edge software + Full Self-Driving builds more consistently, with clearer communication about expected availability.
