My dog has been roaming freely around our compound for almost 8 years. To him, that space is his natural home. Anytime we put him in his cage, which is honestly big enough to be rented out for 700k Naira in today’s Lagos, he barks non-stop until he is released. He is used to freedom, and the moment you try to take it away, he resists.
I’ve come to realize that a lot of things in Nigeria are the way they are because many of us don't know any better. We’ve accepted dysfunction as normal. No constant electricity? That’s just life. Insecurity? It depends on the context. Election rigging? Na part of politics. Stealing public funds? That's the game.
And the moment you point these things out, some people push back because you’re challenging the version of normal they’ve grown used to.
Changing this won't be easy, but we can start from our own little spaces. Keep showing people what a better life can look like. Be the light.

Years ago, about 3-4 years ago before Bola Tinubu, you could start your life after graduation with a budget of, say, ₦2-3 million.
This budget covered rent, furniture, and an apartment in major cities like Lagos Mainland, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Uyo, Calabar, etc.
A normal-sized refrigerator sold for around ₦120k-₦140k.
An AC sold for ₦120k-₦200k.
A television cost ₦170k-₦300k (42-55 inches, mind you).
A mattress and bed frame were about ₦150k.
A sofa was less than ₦250k.
A generator cost ₦150k-₦200k.
A mini-flat was not up to ₦1 million in total.
Today:
AC - ₦500k
Refrigerator - ₦400k-₦600k (normal size)
Sofa - ₦500k-₦800k
TV - ₦600k-₦1 million
Mattress and bed frame - ₦400k-₦600k
Generator - ₦400k-₦600k
Mini-flat - ₦3-₦4 million total package
I haven’t added curtains, kitchenware, mirrors, fans, and other necessities.
What this means is that, with a budget of ₦7-₦10 million now, you may not be able to rent and fully furnish a mini-flat in present-day Nigeria.
This is Tinubu’s legacy. You must be out of your damn mind trying to gaslight us for demanding a better president. We are simply tweeting and informing more people to get their PVCs and vote better, and you call it bullying? It will never be well with you, APC supporters.

I went to visit my parents in Lagos few years ago before my sister got married.
She wakes up at exactly 3.30am because she has to get ready to leave by 4.30am to meet up with staff bus at Agege by 5am or so.
My Dad would walk her to the junction where she'll get Maruwa going to Fagba then Agege.
The 5days I spent, I only saw my sister on Sunday and it was looking at her while she slept.
It is not life you people are living in Lagos o. 😭😂😂

I don’t think you can truly switch clubs if you’re a real fan; anyone who does was probably just chasing clout from the start.
Trust me, I’ve tried to quit. Ever since my dad inducted me into this life as a kid, I’ve attempted to walk away multiple times, but I always find myself back infront of the screen before the next kickoff

Don’t deceive yourself and say “I am done with Arsenal” lol Don’t let peer pressure get to you. We are never done with Arsenal. We will still support the team in all capacity. Be it financial or physically.

Did you notice the pattern in the last week?
Tinubu held an event where he had all his campaign heads across the state. He didn’t mention a single achievement to arm them with for the campaign. His entire tangential speech was about the ADC crisis and his lack of concern for the opposition.
Daniel Bwala was on Arise TV a few days ago. He spent his airtime talking about Peter Obi, Obidients, and his throat surgery. Not a single mention of Tinubu’s achievements so far.
Sunday Dare, one of Tinubu’s media aides, was on AIT. The only thing he bothered himself with was dissecting Peter Obi's pathway to emerge as the ADC candidate and the party’s internal wrangling. Totally ignored selling Tinubu’s “successes.”
Bayo Onanuga has tweeted for God knows how long, more than he’s paid attention to his wife or concubines. All his tweets have been about Obi, the ADC, and its APC-sponsored crisis. Not a single shot at promoting the “good works” of Emperor Tinubu.
What does this say? Tinubu and his team know there is nothing to sell to Nigerians. They have none. Oh yes, that is why the only thing they can give is rice. What is left is to tear down the opposition and emerge unopposed.
Read the pattern. They are sore afraid there is still an opposition, a viable one!✍️

No they actually saved football, they saved football from a Russian Oligarch who started the destruction of the league via financial doping that the likes of Manchester City followed. Hopefully Man City also meet their karma soon.

A student was caught cheating in an exam yesterday.
The lecturer seized his script and sent him out.
This morning, his father came to beg our Dean.
He was apologizing on behalf of his son and pleading for mercy, explaining that the boy is already in his final year.
My Dean listened attentively and was almost inclined to consider the plea, until he noticed the man was wearing an APC cap.
He asked, “Are you an APC member?”
The father proudly responded, “Yes, in fact, I was in charge of my ward.”
The Dean replied, “I see… no wonder your son is cheating in an exam.”
The father went silent.
He just stood there… looking.
