The City of Round Rock loves to say data centers bring in big tax $ but require few city services and rarely have emergencies. Sabey Data Center already had a fire that caused $2,000,000 in damage & emitted carcinogens and toxic fumes into the air and Brushy Creek.

Just a few of the signs made at today’s art build in opposition to the proposed Skybox data center in Round Rock. @roundrock @CraigMMorgan

Engaged citizens came to the Round Rock Library on Super Bowl Sunday to make signs for the rally & public hearing for proposed rezoning for a data center at 2601 E Old Settlers. Our residents care about what happens here and WE DON’T WANT YET ANOTHER DATA CENTER. @roundrock

The 1st image shows the City’s uninspired public hearing notice for the proposed rezoning at 2601 E Old Settlers Blvd for a data center. The second shows our informational postcard. Which actually informs residents about what’s going on? @roundrock @CraigMMorgan @impactnews_rph

Hey, @roundrock Mayor @CraigMMorgan. Council’s public hearing on proposed data center on Old Settlers isn’t till 2/12, but appears fresh surveyor’s stakes were just put up on subject property. Did city staff tell owner your vote was in the bag? @ProtectRRock @PublicCitizenTX

Spotted in downtown @roundrock today. Clearly public sentiment is opposed to any more data centers in our city. There are already eight operational, under construction, or approved. Not one more!

WRIGHTWOOD INCIDENT UPDATE: San Bernardino County Fire remains in command of the Wrightwood Incident as ongoing rain continues to worsen mud and debris flows and flooding. The primary focus remains life safety. Crews are conducting door-to-door checks in impacted areas and advising residents in danger zones to evacuate immediately. An evacuation warning remains in effect for Wrightwood from Pine Street to the Los Angeles County line, and residents outside this area are also strongly encouraged to evacuate as conditions may rapidly worsen. Multiple agencies are assisting, including Los Angeles County Fire, CAL FIRE, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Aviation, and San Bernardino County Public Works. A Care and Reception Center for evacuees has been established at Serrano High School, 9292 Sheep Creek Rd., Phelan.
