@handsomevox @HellHoneyBunny Yeah. It's definitely very complex for demisexual/romantic people. I hate people who say it's a preference. Like for me, I'm aroace until I'm not. It could take forever to go from NOTHING to romance, let alone sex. That could take years or never happen at all.

Romantic may be present, but sexual attraction is something that occurs for me MONTHS potentially even years later because I just don’t feel it until I care so much about that person it borders on obsession

When I explain being demisexual to people, they’re like “oh but that’s how everybody is” and I’m like “no it’s really not”

Sometimes yes, but they usually believe in love at first sight. I'm incapable of that. People are just neutrally attractive to me until deep emotions get involved.
