When I was four years old, I remember running on the field in my pink skirt, and a glove in my hand. Ever since, I have not put the glove down. I blinked and I am now seventeen years old, commiting to a college to play at the next level. I want to start off by thanking my heavenly Father, who has been by my side through this entire journey. The Lord has been there through the good days and bad. He has given me the strength, and adversity to overcome the dark days. I want to also thank my family and friends for supporting me in every decision I have made. Without them, I would not be the person nor the athlete I am today. I want to give a huge shout out to my mom, Karen Carroll, and my dad, Steven Chaisson. They have sacrificed seventeen years to give me everything I could ever ask for. Without my parents, I would not be here today, and making my dreams come true. I can count on one hand how many games they have missed in my entire career. I also want to give a big shoutout to my brother, Noah Chaisson. Noah has pushed me daily to become a better athlete. I will cherish the memories of us going out to the cages to hit, playing catch on the field, and catching my bullpens. I hope to become half the athlete he is. Lastly, I want to thank Coach Steve,Coach Geoff, Coach Megan, Coach Taylor, Coach Sammie, Coach Rosalies, and Coach Sherwin. Each one of these coaches have helped to develop me into the athlete I am today. I have learned a life lesson from each one of them. I cannot thank them enough for teaching me things I will carry through my lifetime, and hope to pass down one day.
I am extremely excited and blessed to announce my commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at LSUE. No words can describe how thankful I am for this opportunity. From the first day, I met Coach Meghan and Coach Seirra, they believed in me, and gave me nothing, but confidence. When I walked onto LSUE’s campus I knew LSUE was exactly where I wanted to be. I am excited, and blessed to spend the next two years making lifelong friends and memories, while going after a national title. Thank you Coach Meghan and Coach Sierra for giving me the opportunity to play at the next level. Geaux Bengals!
