Last night, students and workers protesting peacefully at UCLA for justice in Palestine were physically attacked by a group of 100+ counter protesters. UC’s failure to protect students and workers is an abdication of its responsibility. UAW 4811 members are mobilizing in response
Out of concern for the safety of the @USC community, the general public, and in the interest of fiscal prudence, we urge the @USC Administration to refrain from using police to suppress peaceful student protest. @PresidentFolt: Students’ right to free speech must be protected.
Friends, please, please amplify. The NYPD are now raiding City College. Reports are hundreds of cops. Please, I know that what happened at Columbia tonight is sickening--but this is Part II. And our @cuny students are largely working class students of color.
