Halima from Gaza, a genocide survivor, lost her family and was injured in her abdomen and leg. She has two deaf sisters and a brother with liver disease.
After the MRI, we were told there is no improvement… my mother’s condition is serious. I saw tears fall from her eyes when she realized she still isn’t healed… and I felt my heart break. She urgently needs surgery now. I’m asking with so much pain and shame… not because no one is beside us, but because we once had everything. We had a home, we had enough… until we lost my father. Since then, life has become unbearable. No one can ever replace a father. I wish I could take his place instead of living this pain.
