I usually like the book more too, but these have problems. Long boring stretches where nothing important happens. Far too many characters to hold interest and stay invested in. It's bleak and has none of the humour of the series. I don't really think people who like the book more is a moron. I was jus being bitchy :]

@hatewheel Godzilla is most certainly not a rip off of The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms. The movie's origins are very complex. Japanese movies were very misunderstood until later.

I'm under impression this war is entirely one-sided and the other side is not aware of it. I mentioned in the past some of the things written in The Making of King Kong book or in the Dr. Cyclops columns in Fangoria.
