The Ukraine-Russia war led to a price hike in wheat across the global market, since both countries are major suppliers; There was a shortage which led to unreasonable increment, spaghetti in Nigeria went from about N200 to N1,200, and same with bread tripling in price, plus other products made with flour . Now the US-Israeli ongoing war with Iran has affected oil and gas globally, and with the price hike in fuel to over N1,000 per litre, trust Nigerians to use this opportunity to increase prices of everything and anything possible, even when it shouldn't be the case. Old stock for new price, that's the level of our greed and exploitation in this country, and the govt being hopeless won't put in efforts to regulate prices. If u have money, get some major foodstuffs now just in case the Iran war continues, before there's a serious hike in prices of foodstuffs over here. Again, in case the price of fuel continues to go up. Just thought I share. God help us all.
