@4029Darby And hate to get into the weeds but RHi (relative humidity with respect to ice) with this -60 T and -55 Td scenario is super saturated ~120%. Hrrr uses a magic saturation adjustment during these conditions.

Friends, contrails are produced frequently by high altitude aircraft (usually commercial). Particularly when moisture is ample at the high altitudes they travel thru. They are not "chemtrails"
There is no clear evidence to support otherwise at this time

@4029Darby It would be dumb to dump chemicals at this height. Airliners can dump all their fuel at this altitude and non of it would reach the ground. And it's certainly airliners. You can track real time contrails visually and confirm the fight via FR 24.

@4029Darby Would add also needs to be very cold. And doesn't have to be saturated, the ice crystals seen just need to live in an area where they don't sublime (evaporate) quickly. Sounding differences are subtle though. And: 1/2
