If you’re from Latin America, you’re Latino, we are diverse. By your logic Salma Hayek isn’t Latina either

@jobe_dobe @arakkosuperstar The last name doesn’t matter. Latinos can have Anglo last names. And Latino “culture” doesn’t exist. There are thousands of cultures within Latin America. We don’t all have the same culture, if you’re really Latino, you would know what I mean.

@steph83815148 @invincibat I think it’s the opposite. Many people think they have indigenous ancestry when they have little to none at all. There are more Latinos with Mediterranean ancestry than native ancestry. In the end, I think it balances out so 40% of Latinos being mestizo seems accurate.

But bc we're mixed, you can find some lighter, almost white, and some darker, almost black.That doesn't erase the fact that we're still mixed;no one is 100% anything here

@Jonstarboy @invincibat Additionally, most people confuse “indigenous features” with Mediterranean features. They think having tan skin, dark curly hair, a Roman nose and dark colored eyes makes you indigenous when most Latinos inherited these traits from their southern European ancestors.
