@andy_keto This is a different type of a road, a rigid pavement type. Asphalt is used in flexible pavements. They're doing fine.
English

Dr. @ApolloBuregyeya are they planning an asphalt layer on top of the concrete? Shouldn't they have been using premix at the very basic 🤔
Henry Mugambwa@HenryMugam76980
The govt's switching to concrete on 6th and 7th Streets in Industrial Area due to soft ground issues. The Prime Minister's Delivery Unit inspected these roads, pushing for faster completion. #GoldenPosts

@d_mukungu @wekesa_amos ok, I think we can put our lodges at 60000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 USD
but not sure if they have hot water, and how it's the pressure for a shower.
and please order your dinner one day before ;)
English

Remember when @wekesa_amos mentioned that One Nature Group are building a UGX 10,000,000-per-night lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park?
Well…here’s the One Nature Mara River in Serengeti and a single night starts from around UGX 15,000,000.
Uganda needs more of these..

Soon Kampala City will be Electric⚡
While we're trying to advocate for smart city, one thing cannot be avoided that's Kampala old taxis.
Now that anew order has come out to restrict old Taxis/ mini buses on Kampala roads, KCCA ED came out and said that, "they're in negotiations with local manufacturers to bring in Electric buses".
It should be noted that before we had Kayoola Electric Buses but they were later recalled, and currently they're operating between Jinja and Iganga for daily commuter services. Kampala Capital City Authority - KCCA Kiira Motors.

@Speak2Felix @Uganda_Expozed it's not creativity sometimes,
for example we cannot create a Sea
and it's not creativity to have a lake that is full of bilharzia, if you want to exploit it for tourism you need to use technical and policy solution to remove bilharzia and pollution from the lake.
English

@initram14 @Uganda_Expozed We are not creative enough. Like I said in one of the posts earlier, We have people qualified for positions just to earn but not to help shape the future.
Lake Victoria, River Nile valley, Our night life, etcetera can change the face of tourism for good.
We just have to think..
English

The fact is that Uganda has more tourist destinations than Kenya. The largest part of Kenya Is a desert. Uganda is more 80% green. The issues we have as Ugandans are;
1. Ugandans never tour their country. So they don't know it.
2. Poor government policies.
3. Government doesn't market it's tourist destinations at all.
English

@Bestatwine @bahizi_i @Parliament_Ug @GovUganda @assempebwa @MoWT_Uganda @ugwildlife @KagutaMuseveni they enjoy the first one.
after 3 days on them, they call their friends to not come to Uganda
English

@bahizi_i @Parliament_Ug @GovUganda @assempebwa @MoWT_Uganda @ugwildlife @KagutaMuseveni Such roads are part of the tourism
These tourists have never seen horrible deadly roads before
English

This is the tourism road from Kisoro town to Mgahinga Gorilla National park&mt. Muhavura which contributes billions of shillings to the economy of #Uganda. Tourists have stopped going there. @Parliament_Ug @GovUganda @assempebwa @MoWT_Uganda @ugwildlife @KagutaMuseveni

English

@Uganda_Expozed for example if Lake Victoria would be Bilharzia free, tourists can come and enjoy it also for swimming as a "sea".
But now when you are international tourist you read the guide books and they tell you it's not safe to swim due to bilharzia.
English

@Uganda_Expozed we have good things, but also Kenya.
one problem we have as a tourist destination is that we don't have places where people can stay 3-4 days and enjoy, kenya as Sea beaches resorts where you can stay.
for us is not so easy, our tours are more on-the-road.
English

@joshuabyamazima @assempebwa @assempebwa can you please tell this person here that it will be due not to the pothole itself, but it'll be surely because of a reckless driver, or a boda, or a taxi?
English

The pothole at the Lugogo bypass traffic lights, just after DHL, is extremely dangerous it will cause a fatal accident.
@assempebwa
English

Counsel, you don’t make an omelette without breaking an egg. The ongoing maintenance on the Bypass comes with temporary inconvenience, yes; but it’s the price of delivering a safer and better road.
What’s essential though is proper traffic management along the site and proper driver discipline to minimize inconvenience!

@assempebwa But u are taking unreasonably wrong, The money we lose in jam can construct another road

@ReachDrMuganga @baryamureeba I am really interested in solar laptops can you share some links to buy them for myself?
English

My brother, Prof. Baryamureeba, with due respect, I kindly encourage you to revisit my submission in full so that our discussion is guided by the complete context of the proposal. Some of the concerns you raised, especially around electricity and sustainability, can be addressed through solar-powered laptops, which current technology is capable of supporting. While concerns about theft are understandable, I do not believe they should prevent the country from planning for transformative solutions that can widen access to meaningful education and transformative technology. Given your long-standing role as a technology practitioner (at least that’s the rest I accord you), I had hoped we could advance this conversation in a more informed, constructive, and forward-looking manner. I am therefore sharing the link to my letter once again and respectfully invite you to read it fully, after which I would greatly value your well-informed and supportive submission. See link to my letter below:👇🏾

Outdated ... We just need good teachers and laboratories in all schools. Ugandans have problems charging phones and so how will they charge laptops or keep them safely in rural areas? More than 50% would be stolen in the first year. Do research and propose practical solutions.

One year down the road, we are counting, and we inherited very deteriorated networks and areas that had been in blackout for months. But one the less, we have normalized. The first semester of our journey had a lot of lows on the side of distribution, partially because of the rains-@nankizaaki Spokesperson @UEDCLTD

English

When we took over(from UMEME), the network had not been invested in for about three years, and there was a real thirst for investment. In just one year, we have pushed out close to about UGX 433 billion in procurements- @nankizaaki , spokesperson @UEDCLTD #MorningAtNTV
