Super farm walk on the Ahern family farm this morning. Michael and family were the overall Sustainable Grassland Farmers of the Year for 2024. Grass, cows, reseeding, clover varieties 🍀 and nutrient management were just some of the topics covered. Well done to all involved 👏

We had a wonderful day at yesterday's @IrishGrassland Dairy Summer Tour. Thanks to our two host families the Twomeys and the Berminghams for opening their gates and sharing their stories. Lots and lots discussed. Key and common driver of profitability on both farms is grass 🐄🐄
