I started work on a recreation of Before Crisis: Final Fantasy VII. I had a great time learning @godotengine, but will pause development to support the preservation efforts of @NaoyaShinota and @YuviApp. A single screen demo can be found over on itch john-lay.itch.io/before-crisis

User @NaoyaShinota preserved a copy of FF7 Before Crisis, Kingdom Hearts Coded, and 17 other previously-lost Square Enix i-mode games! BC is the hardest game we've ever tried to run on emulator, so we need assistance too! More details on that and the other 16 games below (1/9) ⬇️

@johnlay_ it's core GB Studio 3.1 and a ton of Plugins. I've altered some plugins through their code directly to suit my needs. And not even turned on color mode for performance boost. That's all plain DMG-01 power, right there! (tested on original hardware as well. Runs even better)

Worked half of the day to implement the Platformer+ addon to my project. Had to rewrite quite a bit of code and scripts. But it was all worth it! Those smooth running platform actors are just <3 #gbstudio

@johnlay_ @GBStudioDev @beatscribemusic @gbs_central @DouggernaughtTV @thedopster Color me surprised, impressed and interested all at the same time. I am curious though, how much of the useless fluff was cut from your remake? IIRC there were a butt ton of items in the game, many of them useless.

@jediyte I’ve been hunting down bugs over the last few months, but it’s hard to catch them all. The screen you sent is part of the crash report in GB Studio, but I can’t do much with it. Could you let me know approximately where you were in the game? It would help to fix the bug.
