It means sinking boats full of people who have no other options left except for desperately trying to escape. A humanitarian catastrophe of that scale has to force us to re-examine both our internal policy as well as our concept of charity, developmental aid and human dignity.
Je länger ich diesen Podcast und die Aufarbeitung dazu wirken lasse, desto klarer wird mir, was da eigentlich passiert ist. Bei Höcke überrascht mich vieles nicht. Die Muster sind bekannt. Feindbilder. Misstrauen gegen Institutionen. Ein Weltbild, in dem am Ende immer andere schuld sind. Was mich mehr beschäftigt, ist die Rolle des Hosts. Wer solchen Aussagen stundenlang Raum gibt, kaum einordnet, kaum widerspricht und problematische Narrative einfach stehen lässt, kann sich nicht dauerhaft hinter „ich will nur verstehen“ oder „ich stelle nur Fragen“ verstecken. Ab einem gewissen Punkt ist das keine neutrale Beobachtung mehr. Dann wird aus Reichweite Verantwortung. Und aus Plattform wird Mitwirkung. Ideologien verbreiten sich nicht nur durch die, die sie laut aussprechen. Sondern auch durch die, die ihnen ein ruhiges, seriöses und kaum kritisches Umfeld geben. Genau so werden Grenzen verschoben. Genau so werden Menschen an Gedanken gewöhnt, die sie gestern noch abgelehnt hätten.
