I’ve struggled to get Screen Sharing to work from my Mac Mini for quite some time now. Turns out that if you have Firewall turned on, you also need to explicitly add the “Screen Sharing” app to the allow list. Basically, you should have two items visible on the list.

Since this is an annoying issue. If remote screen sharing stops working in macOS: 1. Remove anything related to screen sharing from the Firewall options in System Preferences 2. Disable Screen Sharing from Sharing and reboot 3. Enable Screen Sharing back

@kasper @soylentgraham @hyperandroid So I guess I'll have to deliver TWO versions my of app now. One is "hardened" with notarization, whereas the other can be used with the JavaScript debugger. Sigh.

@tempelorg @soylentgraham @hyperandroid Indeed! I wish Apple would have a better solution for this. This was their official answer: “However, I recommend against doing this for a production app. The get-task-allow entitlement undoes most of the security enhancements implied by the hardened runtime…”

@soylentgraham @hyperandroid @kasper Nevermind. I've figured it out. The app needs "com.apple.security.get-task-allow" (true) added to the entitlement file.

The new iOS 15 Safari design is hurting my brain. Tried to get used to it for a day, but thankfully you can change the setting.

You know the feeling when you finish shooting a roll of film and then realise you never had a film loaded in the first place.
