Hi everyone! LBCEI is excited to announce that we are collaborating with Human-IT in offering Long Beach residents the opportunity to acquire a laptop for free and/or a complimentary internet hotspot for a full year. The community can submit surveys through July 19.

The City of Long Beach stands firmly on the foundation of unity, respect, and mutual understanding – values that are core to who we are as a city. We are troubled by the rising number of anti-Jewish, anti-Muslim, anti-Arab incidents that have been reported across our region and country in the recent weeks. As a diverse and vibrant city with people from all ethnic, cultural, and religious backgrounds, these acts of hatred and intolerance go against everything we stand for. We know these issues have taken a toll on our residents and families. To support our community during this challenging time, we have compiled a list of resources folks can access if they are in need of mental health care and support.

The Long Beach Center for Economic Inclusion is an indispensable organization in our community that does the crucial work of bridging economic gaps so that everyone can thrive. I’m glad I had the opportunity to address their leadership team and sponsors today at @lb_cei’s State of the Org, and I’m proud to have championed this organization from its inception.
