- Obinna was one of the first targets for Kentucky in the Class of 2027. - He was offered in September of 2024, just a couple months into the Mark Pope Era. - Visited Lexington in October when they played Purdue. - Visited Lexington in Feburary when they played Oklahoma. - Coaching staff conducted a in home visit right before the portal officially opened. - Kentucky was in constant talk throughout his entire recruitment before they backed off. Kentucky is still in need of a backup center and targets have dwindled. Makes you wonder if waiting on Tyran Stokes hurt their chances with other guys.

Good pickup for Louisville. Got a pretty penny to go there and will join them right away after reclassifying into the ‘26 class. The Cardinals await the stay/go decision of Flory Bidunga, but assume he stays. This upcoming front court is an unbelievable upgrade from last year for them.
