@TexanMeg 3/3 I do this because I'm extremely passionate about helping small business owners, and I believe the Small Business Development Corporation offers an incredible service to tens of thousands of small business owners throughout WA.
@mark_kostner I’m not here for the runaround Mark. Happy to speak directly to whomever needs to be told. I’m thinking it’s you tho and my point has now been made.
Scrolling through #SBDC website and came across their “digital marketing advanced” course...
They are teaching Google+ 🤦🏼♀️
This is what is so infuriating about some people in this industry.
And these guys are meant to be the trusted govt provider!! 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
@TexanMeg 2/3 - I run multiple businesses, which have turned over in excess of $30m in both online and offline sales.
I'm fortunate enough to provide contract services for the SBDC in the form of workshop presentations and business advisory service.
@TexanMeg 1/2 - Glad to see it's been sorted. For the benefit of anyone that comes across this post:
No, I am not the person responsible for maintaining or curating content on the SBDC website.
I am an independent business owner that has been in business for over 25 years.
@TexanMeg@BradleyBWoods Sure @TexanMeg, the number is on the page you screenshot - it’s 13 12 49. I guess you can let them know what your enquiry is about and they’ll put you through to right person. 😊
@mark_kostner@BradleyBWoods Would be more than happy to contact them. Since you seem to know so much Mark, could please share the direct contact details? Great to see the website has been updated, but oh so many questions remain.
@TexanMeg@BradleyBWoods I don’t think the issue is delivery out of date content here, rather potentially an administrative oversight.
Perhaps you could contact SBDC directly to enquire as to how they managed such an unforgivable oversight as missing the word “google +” in a piece of literature?
@mark_kostner@BradleyBWoods I’m sorry but that’s not good enough.
I am well aware things change regularly. It’s my job to know this.
If the SBDC wants to be taken seriously as a leader in the space, they need to be on top of this.
Far too many providers delivering out of date or incorrect content.
@TexanMeg@BradleyBWoods Sorry @TexanMeg don’t have the answer to that one. Possibly an admin oversight? There’s a lot more content that’s in the workshop that isn’t advertised as well. The workshop is updated quite regularly as things in the online space change. I think they’ve updated it now though 😊
@mark_kostner@BradleyBWoods Correct it was closed down. This my point.
As for no longer part of program, why is it still being advertised as of today July 2019 then? That’s false advertising - a whole other issue!
@TexanMeg Hi there, just thought I’d add to the conversation and let you know that google+ was dropped from the program around a year ago. Google my business, google local listings and google reviews (including reputation management) is covered though.
