@TegeusC @ReReadingWolfe @PynchonPod I’ve only read Gravity’s Rainbow but even in that there are similarities. Slothrop and Severian can both be read as complete fools being battered by the tides of conspiracy, secret geniuses, or anything in between.

Reading Gene Wolfe is really similar to reading Thomas Pynchon imo. Theyre both great fun but also mysterious, weird, so difficult they make you feel stupid. Also there are legions of geeks to hook up with online eg @PynchonPod @ReReadingWolfe

@deimosremus Something around the 270’s and the again around 300 if I remember right. I’ll find exactly when I’m by the book. Really threw me lol, it’s a pretty complex plot so I really was lost when it happened

@deimosremus Just read TDW, so good. But be careful of page numbering when you read. I had the same Tor edition and had ~8 pages inserted in the wrong place in the book. Confused the hell out of me
