DeAndre was only 13 years old when he was shot and seriously wounded by a stray bullet while dancing at a birthday party—forever changing his and his family’s lives. Since Dre was shot, his mother DeAndra @missd1982 has become a dedicated advocate for wounded survivors of gun violence.

@RafaelOnTV @RickFOP86 I am so sorry I did not see this because it was on on @RickFOP86 post. I think the mayor and impd would have to be at that meeting to have a city-wide strategy to address the surge in violence in the city.

@charlesharriso5 @RafaelOnTV @RickFOP86 I disagree that the Mayor and IMPD have to be there. We have to be ok with taking our own communities back. With an increase in police shootings, early release, and lack of convictions the trust is not there. They are welcome but to say they have to be I disagree.

@charlesharriso5 My dear brother in the Lord, we both know that what we are witnessing is a result of Christ abandonment. Evil only wants to destroy. As you say, we have record-breaking murders these past few years. Parents not in church, lower standards in school marks, and no value on life.

I am just sickened by all of this juvenile violence in our city and the pain and grief that is causing families and communities.
