Alright Lakers fans, let’s face reality: Luka is out and now everyone is going to have to step up. The next 5 games are huge because they’re the reps LA needs to figure out the new play style without him before the playoffs. Defense is going to be key. Expect LeBron to be even more point guard heavy, Reaves to take on more creation, Rui has to hit shots, and the role guys to give real energy every night. Bronny may have to help as another ball handler too. Marcus Smart is still dealing with the ankle issue, but JJ Redick said he could return as soon as Sunday vs. Dallas. Luka’s exact playoff return is still uncertain, and other reporting around this injury has pointed to roughly 4-6 weeks as a realistic range. So if the Lakers can survive the first round, there’s at least a path for him to be back. That part is still more hope than guarantee. How much gas does LeBron have left in that tank? I think we got this. #lakeshow
