Honestly no.
Periods are a normal part of a girl's life and having them normalized in media is something important.
I got mine at im 2002 in the 6th grade at 11 years old and back then Periods were taught that it's this private shameful thing.
So I thought my own Period was shameful. There was no comforting shows that taught it's normal and I was in catholic school so it was more screwed up.
I am thankful girls of today have media that showcases Periods as something normal.

Fiction is allowed to explore dark/taboo themes. I really wish you guys would study literature just a bit. Taboo themes have always been relevant in fiction. Don’t bother arguing with me either. I hold a masters degree in this subject.

In honour of Ao3 moving out of beta I think we need to remind everyone that ao3 was founded to fight censorship. Literally made as an Archive for fan works because every other site would delete “problematic” works or cave to outside pressures
