I drove 500 miles to Los Angeles to rescue a German Shepherd who was red listed for euthanasia. The shelter told me he was adoptable. They approved it. They walked the dog out to me. I was filming. We were about to load him into the van. Then I was stopped. They pulled me aside and said “there was a mistake.” A clerical error. Someone entered his behavioral score wrong in the system, which is why he was ever listed as adoptable in the first place. Once they realized their mistake, they reversed the adoption. And now, because they corrected their paperwork, they’re going to kill him anyway. I work with difficult dogs all the time. This dog is not aggressive.
