A Neefty Story - Chapter 7 (A bear of a time) 🐻 Bear market hit us brutally, collections stopped ranking and we went into preservation mode by consolidating servers, and scaling down. 🧠 A lot of reflection took place during this period and we watched from the sidelines how the NFT industry evolved. 🕓 This concludes our past, and brings us to the present! 💡 We are back, we are Neefty. A Neefty Story - Chapter 6 (Per aspera ad astra) 🚀 With the launch of XLS-20 we were looking forward to what that meant for our project. This was our time to shine on the XRPL. 🤝 Leading into it we had secured a decent number of partnerships with some of the NFT collections that were looking to go live with the launch, however the majority of our partnerships did not pan out. 🥊 Early competition to grab the NFT marketshare on the XRPL was fierce. @onXRPdotcom was the first to launch their XLS-20 marketplace and @xrpcafe followed closely after. With this, the community had two solid NFT marketplaces. @xrpcafe quickly started to differentiate themselves and one of the things they did to do this was release in-house rankings for NFTs listed on their platform. 💼 We reached out to @onXRPdotcom to try to establish a partnership. This didn't pan out either as they were already working on their own in-house ranking system and were quick to release it as well. 🔻 Collections and collectors appeared to be happy with these rankings as they were provided on their platforms and easily visible at the time of purchase which makes sense. The need to look for external ranks became less appealing and we slowly drifted into the background. 🚧 We were forced to capitulate and stood at a crossroads. Do we become a marketplace and compete for that share or do we stay on our lane doing what we do best and are truly passionate about. These were not easy times for us. 🛣️ We decided to stay on our lane. 🔔 Stay tuned for the next chapter, as we continue sharing our story and the Neefty 2.0 reveal.

A Neefty Story - Chapter 4 (Servers cost money y'all) 💸 With rising infrastructure costs we needed to look into a way of turning our service into a sustainable business. ⚖️ Existing rarity services had adopted the model of charging for ranking collections, we decided to adopt this as well. We tried to improve it by implementing a dynamic price that was based on the size of the collection vs fixed pricing which was the norm. It is structured in such a way that even the larger collections should be able to rank with us at a more affordable rate. We believe this is a good and fair pricing model as it allows smaller collections to rank. 🌊 Also around this time we started to look at ecosystem grants and we became part of the Wave 3 cohort of the XRPL grants program. A Neefty Story - Chapter 5 (A wave of innovation) 🌟 The grant jumpstarted us into what has been our most productive season and got us peak exposure in terms of ecosystem reach. 🏗️ We built a lot of backend tech during this period which is going to be instrumental for what we are calling Neefty 2.0 🔔 Stay tuned as the next chapters will cover what has probably been our biggest failure.

A Neefty Story - Chapter 3 (Teach a person to fish) ⁉️ As we released our rankings, confusion started to pop up regarding the different algorithms that are available. ⌛ We took time to answer questions on discord, hosted spaces and worked closely with collection owners to make sure everyone understood the pros and cons of each method.  🤝 Community members became well versed on this topic and started chiming in on these discussions.  ☀️ To this day, we believe the Songbird and Flare communities are one of the most knowledgeable communities when it comes to understanding and appreciating NFT rarity. 🔎 Are you fading the NFT space on #Songbird & #Flare networks anon? 🔔 Stay tuned as we continue sharing what leads us to release Neefty 2.0

A Neefty Story - Chapter 1 (Spreadsheet Mania) Neefty started ranking NFTs with the launch of the #Songbird network. ☀️ During this time, rarity spreadsheets were common and we made it our mission to provide a visual adventure of rarity exploration for the NFTs living on the networks we loved. ✨ We launched as a free service with the vision of ranking all SGB NFT collections. However, we faced two immediate challenges - collection owners got upset 😡 and server costs started to escalate 💸 A Neefty Story - Chapter 2 (Take down our ranks!) As we ranked and published NFT collections several collection owners got upset 😡 that we were publishing rankings without reaching out to them first. While we didn't have to, we took the time to listen to their concerns and decided to stop 🛑 publishing rankings without consulting projects first. 🤝 📚 We learned some valuable lessons from this experience that we will continue to apply moving forward. 🔔 Stay tuned as we continue to discuss our journey from how we started to where we are going. ⛰️
