Delighted to host my brothers; H.E. the Ambassador of the Sultanate of #Oman, Mr. Saud Al-Shidhani; H.E. the Ambassador of the State of #Qatar, Mr. Fahad Al-Muraikhi; and the Chargé d’Affaires of the #Embassy of the State of #Kuwait, Mr. Faisal Al-Mutairi. We exchanged cordial discussions and explored ways to enhance cooperation between the #GCC countries and the United Republic of #Tanzania, in a manner that serves our shared interests and strengthens the bonds of friendship.

#Statement | The Foreign Ministry expresses the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the martyrs of duty, and to the governments and peoples of the State of Qatar and the Republic of Türkiye, following the crash of a helicopter due to a technical malfunction while conducting a routine mission in Qatari territorial waters, which resulted in the death of the helicopter crew from the Qatari Armed Forces and the Qatari-Turkish joint forces.

Kwa niaba ya wananchi wa Ufalme wa Saudi Arabia, ninawasilisha salamu na pongezi za dhati kwa ndugu zetu katika Jamhuri ya Muungano wa #Tanzania , viongozi na wananchi wake, kwa mnasaba wa #Eid_al_Fitr . Her Royal Highness Ambassador Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the United States of America, participated—alongside the ambassadors of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Washington—in a meeting with U.S. Senator Jim Risch, Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen, Ranking Member of the Committee, to discuss the latest security developments in the region. This meeting comes as part of ongoing coordination efforts between the GCC countries and Jordan on one hand, and the United States on the other, grounded in the longstanding strategic partnership between the two sides. Participants in the meeting emphasized the importance of strengthening joint coordination to address escalating security challenges and ensure the security and stability of the region, including safeguarding the freedom of air and maritime navigation. They also underscored the need to protect the region from continued Iranian attacks targeting GCC countries and Jordan, which have deliberately targeted civilians, infrastructure, and vital civilian facilities, constituting a clear and direct violation of the sovereignty of these states, as well as international norms and conventions. The ambassadors unequivocally reaffirmed that the security of GCC states is indivisible and remains a fundamental principle and cornerstone of the GCC Charter. They further stressed that these hostile acts represent a serious and unjustified escalation that undermines regional and international security and stability. At the same time, they reaffirmed the inherent and legitimate right of the targeted states to self-defense, including their full right to take all necessary measures to safeguard their security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and to deter any aggression.
