Once again recommending ‘The Bread We Eat in Dreams’ by Cat Valente (or anything by her, really)…it’s not only got a beautiful prose, but the storytelling and incorporation of different references while staying faithful to itself are fascinating

this might sound frustrating but almost all questions about the craft of writing can be answered with: Read More. Read books and read adventurously. guides like Le Guin's Steering the Craft are invaluable but their wisdom cannot reach you if your soul's not enriched with stories
