Even our collection of Hadith (teachings & sayings of the Prophet PBUH) is MORE reliable than the Bible, because we have something called Sanad - an unbroken chain of reliable narrators that go back to the Prophet PBUH or his companions. Now you misunderstood my point (and accepted? because you just turned it against me), when i said the Bible has unknown authors, this is a fact. You know nothing about Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, not their families, not their life, nothing. Let alone the many other anonymous signings. You rely your salvation on unknown authors. I was assertive because my experience with the Christians that bring the notion of "we are promised salvation but you guys aren't" tend to be very arrogant and don't perform research at all. I don't know what Muslims you're asking but if the verse wasn't enough for you, here is a statement from the Prophet PBUH: "Jabir reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “None of you will enter Paradise by his good deeds alone, nor would you be rescued from the Hellfire, not even myself, but for the mercy of Allah.” [Sahih Muslim 2817] Doing good deeds is a method of attaining God's Mercy & Forgiveness, it is not a means of us entering Paradise alone.
