One mistake can leave huge spaces exposed. 🏃🏿‍♂️🏃🏿‍♂️More running: A full-sized pitch requires covering much greater distances. Players must manage their energy for 90+ minutes rather than short bursts. 🐾🐾More players to track: You're constantly scanning for teammates, opponents, and space. Decision-making becomes more complex because there are more variables. 🎖️🎖️Longer concentration: Maintaining focus for an entire match is challenging. A lapse of concentration in the 85th minute can be just as costly as one in the 5th. 😯😯Specialized roles: Full-backs, midfielders, wingers, and strikers have distinct responsibilities. You can't simply rely on technical ability; tactical discipline matters greatly. Why some people say 5-a-side is harder: ⏩Less time on the ball: Opponents are always close. You must think and act quickly. ⏩More touches: You can't hide in a 5-a-side game. Everyone is constantly involved. ⏩Higher intensity: The game is fast, with frequent transitions. In 11 vs 11, it's harder overall (physical, tactical, mental, and endurance). A good way to put it is: 5-a-side tests your technique and speed of thought. 11-a-side tests everything.
