- Red dots (just a tiny handful): ~2–5 million people seriously **building / coding / creating** with advanced AI tools & scaffolding (Claude Code, Cursor, Aider, Codex-style workflows, etc.)
Bottom line:
84–85% of the world → never touched AI
~16% → casual free users
~0.3–0.5% → paying subscribers
~0.03–0.06% → actually building with frontier AI
The AI revolution is still absurdly early. Most people aren't even in the game yet.
