Restore Britain set to hand Andy Burnham victory as Labour edges out Reform UK in knife-edge Makerfield poll gbnews.com/politics/resto…

NEW Makerfield poll. LAB 45% REFORM 40% RESTORE 8% It is crystal clear. A vote for Restore will elect Labour. This is exactly why everybody from the Tories to Labour is cheering on Restore. Because Rupert Lowe is enabling: -mass immigration -broken borders -grooming gangs

I'm ashamed of Restore Britain, and I think they have made a huge mistake by not participating in the election hustings convened by the Manchester Evening News (which is part of the same media group as the Wigan Observer). Hustings are traditionally the means whereby candidates in an election address potential voters, making themselves accountable. The Editor of the Manchester Evening News, introducing the candidates for the Makerfield hustings, said, 'Whatever your political views, standing for election is not easy … and involves a willingness to put yourself before the public for scrutiny and criticism. That commitment deserves respect and I’d like to thank all of the candidates for taking part in this event. We did invite Rebecca Shepherd from Restore Britain, and repeated the invitation several times but they haven't turned up, and I assume that means they are not coming.' This is very sad, and makes me ashamed of supporting a party that will not stand up in public for its policies. Accusations that Rebecca is in hiding, or avoiding public scrutiny seem to be well founded. There can be no excuse from Restore Britain for failing to put Rebecca forward—this is the nature of politics and if you can't stand the heat you should get out of the kitchen. I support Restore Britain, Rupert Lowe, Rebecca Shepherd and Restore's policies, but this behaviour cannot be justified under any circumstance. Once again, an own goal. It makes me wonder whether the objectives behind standing in Makerfield are not what we've been led to believe, which is very unfair to the wonderful Restore Britain volunteers who have been working their socks off to win in Makerfield. @RupertLowe10 @RestoreBritain @cfdownes_

I applaud Kemi for saying she would allow Nigel Into Number 10 to stop a left-wing Government The Tories still have some inches of Common sense in the party!

At Dundee Sheriff Court yesterday, the Bulgarian couple were convicted of assault in relation to this incident. The man was also found to have made sexualised remarks to one of the girls. The pair will be sentenced on 5 August.
