LO ÚLTIMO: Christina Koch se convirtió oficialmente en la primera mujer en la historia en alcanzar el entorno de la Luna durante la misión Artemis II. Ninguna mujer había participado en misiones lunares tripuladas del programa Apollo. Por tanto, es la primera mujer en viajar más allá de la órbita terrestre baja y en orbitar la Luna.

The Lyapunov equation ✍️ It is a powerful matrix equation described by AᵀQ + QA = -R. Here, A and R are known matrices, while Q is the unknown symmetric matrix we need to determine. Instead of computing the eigenvalues of A, which can be tough for large systems, we rewrite the equation as a set of ordinary linear equations, Âq = r. In this case, the elements of Q become the unknowns (q), and the elements of R make up the right-hand side (r). Since both Q and R are symmetric, we end up with n(n+1)/2 equations and the same number of unknowns, which simplifies the problem greatly. According to Fact 2.11, this linear system has a unique solution if the large matrix  is non-singular. If  is singular, there may be multiple solutions or none at all. This equation is very useful in control theory for checking system stability. It can also serve as a constraint in optimization problems, as solving these linear equations is usually much simpler and more reliable than directly finding eigenvalues of large matrices.

El cierre de Almaraz resulta incomprensible ahora mismo. La opción nuclear actualmente está clarísima. Ni la eólica ni la solar son energías de respaldo que garanticen por sí solas la estabilidad del sistema ni un suministro base estable y continuado en el tiempo, como bien hemos comprobado en el apagón. No tengo ninguna preocupación con la seguridad de las nucleares españolas; lo que me preocupa es que estemos quemando gas en ciclo combinado en plena crisis energética por el cierre prematuro de una capacidad que ya existe, está amortizada y aporta firmeza al sistema. La cuestión no debería plantearse como una batalla ideológica entre tecnologías, sino como un problema de seguridad de suministro, coste, autonomía estratégica y realismo técnico. La solar y la eólica son necesarias, por supuesto, pero no bastan por sí solas mientras no exista un almacenamiento masivo, maduro y económicamente viable a gran escala. Y hoy, nos guste más o menos, esa realidad no existe en la dimensión necesaria. Cerrar nucleares para sustituirlas por más gas no es avanzar en la transición: es maquillarla. Y hacerlo, además, encareciendo el sistema y haciéndolo más vulnerable. Una cosa es aspirar a un mix cada vez más limpio; otra, muy distinta, es desmantelar antes de tiempo las tecnologías que garantizan que el sistema siga en pie cuando fallan las condiciones ideales. La energía exige menos consignas y más ingeniería. Menos eslóganes y más responsabilidad. Porque cuando se apaga la luz, la ideología sirve de poco.

Biblioteca de libros descatalogados. Título 51: La ciencia ficción. Historia, ciencia, perspectiva. Autores: Robert Scholes y Eric S. Rabkin (Taurus, 1982). Sigue siendo una excelente introducción a la historia de la ciencia ficción y su evolución con relación a la tecnociencia.

Como su padre el Rey Carlos que ya se ha convertido en un abierto y sumiso propagandista del islam, el príncipe William predica sobre el Islam como la "religión de paz y entendimiento de la que otras religiones pueden aprender". Esta versión actual de la monarquía británica no reconoce al cristianismo como la religión propia y por encima de todas las demás religiones. In 2029, Apophis, a ~370m asteroid, will pass just ~31,000 km from Earth. That’s ~1/10 the distance to the Moon. Inside the orbit of geostationary satellites. Visible to the naked eye. Impact risk this time is low, but the flyby could shift its future trajectory. A direct hit would mean a ~1 km crater and regional devastation. That’s why becoming multiplanetary matters.
