@spacerockinhard I got bored and took a shot at redesigning some of the parasites. I think theres potential for something really fun but they dropped the ball and just made shit like "+2 speed -5 luck + You have 5 confusion"

My Mage just got this and I'm wondering why Edmund made parasites because this shit isnt fun this is just a minor upside with a catastrophic downside. I haven't met a single soul on this planet who thinks parasites are fun or interesting

@rainbow_gem2 i'm surprised something like this goes unused, specially given there are items that also give you benefits for having disorders. maybe in the future we can get this item or something similar cuz otherwise, yeah, i really hate getting parasites

@MERKE15 its kinda funny you specify blood frenzy because I actually really like blood frenzy, I have a sub-bloodline of blood frenzy cats who go on solo runs and fuck shit up. Their latest claim to fame was soloing the final boss on round 1

@PachiRobi The first thing I did immediately after that was (since I dont play with cleric) to just, explode the Monk and kill it right then and there. It was next to a bunch of Zombies and I'm not gonna be giving champion Zombies all stats up and a bonus turn

@PachiRobi It's really funny you pointed out that parasite since that was my first bad experience with parasites
Monk got it in Boneyard, ruining the Unburdened Mind passive. Was AI controlled on his first turn, it tried to kill a zombie with the Thorny elite buff, was down to 3 hp

@yasureboutthat Here is a video from said fighter run. Stupidly enough, what won me the run was Spare Parts (spawn a scrap pickup when you move). The knockback from the shield was actually killing the fighter since it didnt have a way to deal with the chip damage funnily enough

@waweezer my main gripe is that they're just... boring. Like they're usually a very minor stat buff and a catastrophic debuff/stat drop(s). Like they will NEVER be as interesting as Disorders

@rainbow_gem2 Disorders are literally what parasites wish to be as a lot of them actually do have good balance between their upsides and downsides (like blood frenzy or distempered). I think a lot of parasites are too focused on the downside parts and don’t really offer much in upsides
